Champions of Recreation, Exercise and Wellness

Description
C.R.E.W. stands for Champions of Recreation, Exercise, and Wellness.
C.R.E.W. is a district-wide initiative with the focus of engaging all Pike Township stakeholders in the area of wellness. More specifically, C.R.E.W. participants commit to self-care, wellbeing, eating nutritious meals, and 20 minutes of physical activity per day for at least 5 days per week. Each participating school is responsible for utilizing the square mileage of a country of it’s choosing. Central Elementary’ s country is Senegal, a country in West America. We as a school are collectively pledging to be active for the equivalent of 74,336 miles!
The Task
Central Elementary is up for the challenge! As a school, we pledge to be physically fit for at least 74,336 miles, which is the equivalent to the area of Guinea. The challenge started on October 1, 2025 and ends on April 17, 2026. We need you help! We ask that family members join in on the challenge and commit to a certain about of miles filled with physical activity over the course of the school year. Please complete the following form, CES Pledge Form, to pledge your commitment to health and wellness. Scholars have completed their pledge form while at school.
Tracking
Central will have access to an electronic tracking form that can be utilized by classroom teachers to track classroom mileage and/or the building wellness coordinator to track a school’s mileage towards its set goal.
We are excited to embark on this journey of health and wellness. Look for monthly tidbits in your parent communication from Principal McGee on how you and your scholar can help CES achieve our goal.
