Student Ambassadors:  The Ambassadors is a student leadership program made up of fourth and fifth grade leaders in our school. Students are charged with delivering life skills lessons to their peers as well as participating in various community service activities.

Jammers: The Jammers is a group started by 2 teachers, Michelle Robinson and Donielle Jones, who have a passion for dance and wanted to pass this love for the performing arts on to their students.  This group is made up of 3rd- 5th graders from Central Elementary School, and recently expanded to include 6th grade from Lincoln Middle School. The Jammers have participated in various school convocations and programs.  They have been featured in several community events including the Pike Township District Wide Literacy Fairs, Indiana Folk Dance Festival, Circle City Class Parade and Anderson Black Expo.

Butler Buddies: Butler Buddies is a partnership between Butler University and Central Elementary School.  Dr. Stephen Bloom is the professor that has worked to establish this relationship. Students in his class are gaining hands on experience by implementing lessons with 3rd and 4th graders the students are getting one on one attention as well.

Central Garden

Central Garden is a wonderful outdoor classroom.  All grade levels have the opportunity to work in the garden.  Students learn about soil conditions, the food chain, beneficial insects, types of plants and care of maintenance of the garden.  Students continue to realize the importance of teamwork in all types of situations.

We are always looking for support from the community.  If you have any expertise or desire to help on a specific garden project, please let us know!
